Day 1: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Pick up from your hotel in Entebbe and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (~8 hours) with a lunch stop en route. Enjoy changing landscapes, including tropical rainforests, savannahs, and terraced hills of Kigezi, known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp.
Note: Optional flight from Entebbe to Bwindi (~1 hour).
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Experience
After breakfast, drive a short distance to the park offices for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette. Accompanied by expert guides and trackers, hike into the forest to find the gorillas. The hike can be physically demanding due to rough and muddy terrain, but the experience of observing these rare mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is unforgettable. Picnic lunch provided during the trek. Return to your lodge for relaxation and dinner.
Day 3: Bwindi – Entebbe
After breakfast, start the scenic drive back to Entebbe or Kampala with lunch en route. Stop at the Equator line and Igongo Cultural Center for short cultural experiences. Arrive late in the evening at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, concluding your memorable gorilla trekking adventure.
