4 Days Lake Mburo Safari, Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi Tour Uganda

Day 1: Entebbe – Lake Mburo National Park

Pick up from your hotel or airport in Entebbe and drive approximately 4 hours to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park. Expect to see zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, oribi, giraffes, defassa waterbuck, leopards, topi, and reedbuck. Bird watchers will delight in spotting over 300 species, including the black-bellied bustard.

Optional: Night game drive ($30) to spot nocturnal wildlife like hyenas and leopards. Otherwise, relax at your lodge.

Overnight: Lake Mburo Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Mburo to see eland, zebras, impalas, and other savannah wildlife. Return for lunch, then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly 300 mountain gorillas.

Arrive in Bwindi and check in to your lodge. Rest and prepare for the gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Overnight: Gorilla Mist Camp, Buhoma Lodge, or similar.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, head to the park offices for a briefing by your ranger guides. Trek through the dense rainforest to locate a habituated gorilla group. Spend a magical hour observing and photographing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a serene lake surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 islands. Enjoy the peaceful scenery and relax by the lake.

Overnight: Lake Bunyonyi Resort or similar.

Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi – Entebbe

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with views of the lake and islands. Begin your drive back to Entebbe, stopping for lunch in Mbarara City. Continue through scenic landscapes and arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
