Day 1: Arrival in Moroni – City Tour and Historic Medina

Pick up from your hotel to explore the old medina, visit the Old Friday Mosque, and browse Volovolo Market for spices, textiles, ylang-ylang oil, and handmade jewelry. End with scenic views of the coast from the ancient port area.

Day 2: Day Trip to Mount Karthala or Coastal Tour

Choose between two options:
Mount Karthala Hike: Trek to the crater of one of the world’s largest active volcanoes, a physically demanding full-day excursion (6–8 hours) with views of cloud forests, lava flows, and volcanic vents.
Coastal Tour: Visit Itsandra village, Lac Salé, and Chomoni Beach, including short hikes and cultural insights along the northern coast. Return to Moroni in the evening for dinner.

Day 3: Northern Grande Comore – Mitsamiouli and Dragon Rocks

Travel north to Mitsamiouli, stopping at Trou du Prophète, a legendary bay. Continue to Dragon Rocks, black lava outcrops resembling reptilian scales against the sea. Enjoy lunch at a beach lodge, relax or swim, then return via ylang-ylang plantations and villages known for local crafts.

Day 4: Transfer to Mohéli Island – Arrival in Fomboni

Fly or sail from Grande Comore to Mohéli, arriving in Fomboni. Transfer to an eco-lodge near Nioumachoua. Spend a quiet afternoon along the beach or take a short walk to nearby fishing villages.

Day 5: Mohéli Marine Park – Boat Excursion and Snorkeling

Guided boat trip to Mohéli Marine Park. Snorkel in coral-rich waters with chances to see turtles, dolphins, and tropical reef fish. Picnic on a protected islet and relax on remote beaches. Return for a cultural storytelling session with local guides.

Day 6: Inland Mohéli – Forest Walk and Wildlife

Explore the forest interior on foot to spot fruit bats, mongoose lemurs, and exotic birds. Visit a traditional village to learn about local agriculture, fishing, and governance. End the day with a sunset beach gathering or local drumming session.

Day 7: Return to Grande Comore and Departure

Transfer back to Fomboni Airport for the flight to Moroni. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a final walk along the coast or a visit to a local café before being transferred to Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport for departure.
