Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Kampala

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and driven to Kampala. Check-in at Cassia Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight stay. For late-night arrivals, overnight in Entebbe at Boma Guest House or similar is recommended.

Day 2: Kampala – Fort Portal

After breakfast, drive to Fort Portal, the capital of Tooro Kingdom, located near the Rwenzori Mountains. Lunch en route. In the evening, enjoy a nature walk at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to spot endemic Albertine species.

Dinner & Overnight: Chimpanzee Forest Lodge or similar.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park, home to the highest primate density in the world, including black-and-white colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and vervet monkeys. Spot over 325 bird species. After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Dinner & Overnight: Irungu Forest Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga Channel

Early morning game drive in the northern sector towards Lake George and Kasenyi Village to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, hyenas, Ugandan kobs, and possibly leopards. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife along the banks. Continue south to Ishasha sector for evening game drive.

Dinner & Overnight: Ishasha Jungle Lodge or similar.

Day 5: Ishasha – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Morning game drive in Ishasha to see tree-climbing lions, buffaloes, elephants, and topi antelopes. After lunch, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to endangered mountain gorillas.

Dinner & Overnight: Bwindi Broad Bill Forest Camp or similar.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After breakfast, embark on your gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi’s tropical rainforest. Each trekking group is a maximum of 8 people. Spend one hour observing and photographing the gorillas in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge in the evening.

Dinner & Overnight: Bwindi Broad Bill Forest Camp or similar.

Day 7: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy lunch en route and an afternoon game drive to spot impalas, elands, topis, buffaloes, and zebras. Check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Dinner & Overnight: Itambira Island Resort or similar.

Day 8: Lake Mburo National Park

Spend the day at leisure. Optional activities include guided nature walks or game drives. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the lodge.

Dinner & Overnight: Hyena Hill Lodge or similar.

Day 9: Lake Mburo – Entebbe

Morning nature walk and boat tour on Lake Mburo. Return to the lodge for lunch, then drive back to Entebbe for drop-off at your hotel or airport for onward travel.
